 1. Talakadu - near by Mysore, Karnataka, Sounth India

Talakadu is a desert-like town on the left bank of the Kaveri river 45 km from Mysore and 133 km from Bangalore in Karnataka, India. It once had over 30 temples, most of which now lay buried in sand. (Special about this place is Sand yes you heard it right. just look, touch and feel) 

Nestled on the banks of the River Kaveri, Talakadu in Karnataka is a mystical place steeped with a rich past and cultural heritage. It is famous for the Panchalinga's and it's Festival, especially Vaidyanatheshwara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva


2. Stambheswar Mahadev/Kavi Kamboi Temple - near by Baroda/Vadodara, Gujarat, West India

Kavi Kamboi is around 80km from Vadodara in Gujarat. Kavi Kamboi is well-connected by road from places like Vadodara, Bharuch, and Bhavnagar. It is better to take private cabs or vehicles to travel from Vadodara to Stambeshwar Mahadev

Among the many ancient yet lesser-known temples of Lord Shiva, the Stambheshwar Mahadev Temple in Gujarat finds a special mention. Apart from being one of the oldest shrines, the Stambheshwar Mahadev temple is known for covered by sea water and reappearing twice during the day.

The Stambheshwar Mahadev Temple is also known as the Temple of the Lost. There is a unique event behind this temple. That event is viewed twice a day, which is why this temple is so special.
